Naked City TV

Producer, April 2008 - August 2008

During the spring and summer of 2008, Naked City TV was a nineteen episode video podcast that Audacia produced, shot, and edited for the online division of the Village Voice. Audacia created one 3-minute video piece per week profiling a person or event, for a total of nineteen episodes. During her five month tenure at the Village Voice, Audacia also wrote, edited, and published more than 500 posts about sexuality and culture in New York City and beyond on the Naked City blog. Although the blog is no longer online, the video podcast archives are available on Blip TV.

The following videos are among Audacia’s favorite episodes:

Naked City TV interviews Heather Woodbury about her new one-woman show "The Last Days of Desmond Nani Reese: A Stripper's History of the World," which she performed for one night only at the Culture Project in SoHo. With clips of the performance.

On Saturday, June 21, 2008 academics, performers, and thinking perverts gathered in Amsterdam at Paradiso to discuss sexuality and porn, as well as to dance, mingle, and watch terrific performances at the culminating event in the Pinched festival.

Naked City TV got the inside scoop from Marije Janssen, the festival's organizer. This episode also features a taste of what some of the more boobtastic performances were like, including Annie Sprinkle's famous Bosom Ballet and the messy antics of The Drag King Fem Show.

From nursing homes to granny porn, from her father's Viagra prescription to her mother's racy letters: award-winning solo performer Christen Clifford takes you on a journey through senior sexuality. (What I Know About) My Parents' Sex Life a.k.a. Fuck Me Like It's 1945 is Christen's second solo theater piece about family life and sexuality. It's something of a follow up piece to her BabyLove.
Naked City TV got a sneak peek at the new piece and got to watch Christen do her first full run through of My Parents' Sex Life in front of an audience.
